Katie Wise

My name is Katie Wise. My intended major here at Shippensburg University is Early Childhood Education with Special Education. I am very blessed to have my family. In the picture above includes my mother and my older brother Austin. Not pictured is my dad, younger brother, and my three dogs (Izzy, Max, and Zoey). Yes, I do include my dogs as family to me. In my spare time I love to play softball and go on hikes with my boyfriend and one of my dogs. Going off to college I was super excited. Mostly excited because I get to play softball here at Shippensburg University for 4 years. I am super blessed with everything in my life that I have. Some of my writing experiences include, in high school we had to write a research paper to graduate. My topic was about homelessness. Sad topic but a very needed subject to talk about. I thought that I did terrible. But, with a lot of hard work and dedication into this paper and in the end I received the grade I think I deserved. I received and A+ on this paper. I doubted myself. But, with a lot of hard work I did the best I could. I have many goals for myself.  I set the bar high for myself because I want to achieve a lot in my time. But, one goal that I would have for myself is, to give my 100% at whatever I am doing. To work hard and get what I deserve really. My next goal would be to tell people how I feel more often. Saying how you feel can really impact your life. People may have a better understanding of you if you tell them how you feel more often. My third goal for myself would have to be, say hi and get to know more people. I am not a shy person but sometimes I find myself not wanting to say hi to someone or just not wanting to interact. This has been a problem of mine for a while. I am a very out-going person but sometimes I can be reserved. I can achieve all of these goals easily. I can my all to everything, say how I feel more often and say hi and interact more. The conditions do not have to be in a certain way for me to obtain these goals. I just need to go out and do them really.
